Information: Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket ("skyrocket")
Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket
Note: Support Status
This device does not support the newest version of CyanogenMod. This may be due to hardware limitations or simply because development is not yet complete. The last version officially supported was based on the cm-10.2 branch of Android/CyanogenMod.
DO NOT USE THE Heimdall INSTRUCTIONS. Use the xda forum instructions instead. If using a SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 (i.e. S II skyrocket) and the Heimdall install instructions posted on this site, flashing ClockworkMod (i.e. heimdall flash --RECOVERY recovery.img --no-reboot) will fail, leaving you with a non-functional handset. Following this failure your only option is to install Samsung kies (not even odin will work) and flash a stock OS. This statement is accurate as of Heimdall Suite 1.4RC2, 10/2013. Until Heimdall can be verified as working on this device it is recommended you follow the following to install a custom recovery for now: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773659 . This message will disappear when it is confirmed.
Heimdall can successfully flash ClockworkMod using Heimdall 1.4.0 on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS. Issue the heimdall commands as root:
heimdall flash --RECOVERY recover.img && heimdall close-pc-screen
Heimdall 1.4.0 for Mac does not seem to work with this device. You will need to use the above Odin instructions on XDA. See this issue for more information: https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/issues/137
